>>23799074I'm sorry that you've had a hard time in life Tree. I may kid around and shitpost like I've been eating Indian street food for a year straight but I genuinely wish that you find some peace in your life.
As people we tend to focus on the negatives and drawbacks of just about any given things. It's a form of self critical observation that has driven progress as long as we have existed. When there are drawbacks and negatives this suggests to the mind that there is something to be solved, and that there is a solution. This is why people so often get hung up on negative experiences. The thing is there is not always an answer. Some things don't work that way.
Just as unfortunate events pass and we move past them, so too will good times come to pass. One should appreciate them, even just in the small moments of joy. A person being kind, a small gesture of respect. Positive interactions. Whatever form that may take, those are the times in your life you need to cling to. Shun despair.
We also focus on these negatives, because they seem to have the most impact in our lives. Of course some inevitably do. The death of a loved one, a horrific incident with some sort of lifelong implications etc. However, most of the time, the impact is the same as any other interaction that you have.
