>>608912>God didn't create sin? I thought the whole idea was he created everything from nothing? Unlike everything else, man was created from dust.
>Are you saying humanity also created something out of thin air? Isn't that also an affront to god?Sin is not a creation. It is rebellion against the Creator and it derives its detrimental power from a certain state of mind.
>Just according to whom tho? And why would an infinitely capable and all knowing entity like god care whether he is just or not?Just according to God's nature. Why is He just? I don't know, but that's what makes Him good.
>idea that humanity sinning is an affront and rebellion would suggest that he is incapable of predicting and preventing a rebellion against himself which can't be true because he is infinitely capable so only other explanation is he allows or wants to be rebelled against which would mean sinning is actually good? You are right by saying that He could prevent the rebellion but deliberatly doesn't do so. Sinning is not good but God can derive good things even from such an act.
>What i'm saying is generally the whole concept of sinning is against god or doing good deeds is serving god makes little sense since he seems to allow both of those concepts to exist when he can just extinguish the one against him He allows them but He doesn't endorse both of them equally. We can act freely on this earth just how it was intended. And at some point it will be judgement day for those who haven't turned towards Christ and his infinite grace. Nobody can persist on his own terms even though it might seem so for the moment.
If you are seriously interested, I recommend reading the Catholic Catechism. It explains the Christian faith very thoroughly and step by step in form of questions.
