some assume that demons are actually just 'demonized' pagan gods, the same way hitler is smeared and turned into his opposite some say our ancestral gods were turned into grotesque carricatures by jewish christianity. momotheism scratches your polytheism itch with the numerous dinstinct angels, their individual duties and characteristics. the power distribution is different, the elements similar however. the same way pagan gods of antiquity have flaws the angels too argue and fight amongst one another. in pagan faiths one finds one supreme father god also, all the lesser gods were turned into angels in christianity, in the past people used to ponder and identify with the individual characters of the angels more that we understand today, gabriel, michael etc. worshippers used to adress particular angels for their specific needs.
