Sinning is not simply making mistakes & doing evil, it is TRYING TO HIDE from your mistakes. We've all made mistakes that warrant being fired, even by our own standard of measure. Would you hire yourself knowing what you've done and thought? Not without being born again.
Jesus is almost like a direct line of communication to God, the father. Ever feel an immense sense of dread when you wake up in the morning and want to call in sick to work or school but know you will catch shit because you dont sound or look sick and your boss doesn't understand how you feel? This is why.
God is not beholden to money or deadlines. He just wants to hear your voice. He already knows what you've done, you just need to admit to yourself that it was wrong, because he lives in you through Christ.
He wants to shake your hand, he just needs you to reach out. He cant do that for you, he cant force you to mean it. He cant rape you with love, thats what most people want in a way. He can't force you to love and be loved, only put his offer on the table and wait patiently hoping you will accept it. Pick up the phone, talk to your father. You wont even get the words out before he fills you with his love, just like the prodigal son. Jesus Christ is like the phone. That is why his is the only name under heaven by which people are saved - he is the only phone # that reaches directly to the true God. He even loves fedora tippers.
