>>16409323Yes but you don't come with millions of dollars made from embezzlement back in China. Much of the world thinks if you commit big crimes then the government just looks the other way. No. China is horribly corrupt but within a corrupt ecosystem there is always rising and falling and some are offered up for public executions to prove the government is trying really really hard. To avoid the risk of falling they get out and go somewhere alien and quiet and usually regret it. You speak the old languages and so do the daughters of all these corrupt business guys. These aren't nice times where a country lets you in because they want you to live your best life. They let you in if you're in the right place at the right time to benefit from a showy gesture or if you have some tech skills or are willing to work well below your qualifications in a service job while recertifying in a Canadian school for big bucks.

You're a clever enterprising young man, and with that said, anything you do a son or daughter from a family inside their ecosystem can achieve measurable metrics close to yours. The key to mob legitimacy is being more selective than has ever been seen in the past. They did nothing to build things up, but people forget where things came from. The mobs were there to step in when the old builders died to say "We built this". As it all slowly collapses it's clear that's not true because they don't know how to maintain or re-create these systems, but making excuses and creating ridiculously high standards to join their teams, which somehow their not so clever cousin Paulie's not so clever daughter Paulette managed to achieve, goes a long way to convince the average Joe they do. Only the best and brightest who are all coincidentally part of our extended family. Just bad luck on the timing and I'm sorry for that.
