My own extended family has some white trash that married apes, too. And now I'm remembering a slew of similarly awful situations that's led to, though none so horrible... When anyone asks "how could politicians keep race realism under wraps(?)," this is how. Some probably genuinely think we're too far in. That the revelation would be too humiliating, dehumanizing and betraying to allow. It would probably destroy whole families overnight, or re-open old wounds. Lead to decades of stewing tension. This world is a nightmare... I hope your Grandmother finds peace outside it.
