As of 1967, there is a nation called Israel, and its borders are legal.
The pronouncement of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is legal.
No one could deny that there are theological underpinnings to the creation of the State of Israel.
I am a gnostic atheist and antitheist, with considerable scholarly insight to Judaism, and from a theistic frame of reference, "Israel" is doing it wrong:
- The incursions into Palestinian land are neither legal nor moral outside of the '67 boundaries.
- Israel is a people, not a place or nation. They are not supposed to form governments, they are to form communities. The Kibutzim movement was righteous.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kibbutz- The leadership of "Israel" both as a "nation" and as a people is perverse. Even the so-called flag of Israel is the utmost blasphemous symbol against the very god from which Jews are (errantly) considered to have favour.
