I've had a serious underwear issue for a few years. I used to have a bunch of pairs of these knock-off underarmor boxer-briefs from a brand called Russel.
because they were knock-offs the material is a little bit more breathable than regular sporty underwear. They are also sown like regular underwear and are a little looser than an athletic brand would be. (they kinda look like pic but also not really)
I bought about 12 pairs 14 years ago. I don't believe they make this model anymore. They've been worn down throughout the years and I'm down to only 4 pairs left and 2 have massive tears between the waist part and leg part. It won't be long before none of them are serviceable anymore.
Over the last 2 years every few months or so I find a set of underwear online that looks like it could be a replacement.
The best I've found yet is some pairs from Smartwool. Merino wool/synthetic hybrids are ok but they're not as comfortable for everyday use.
They're warmer, and if they get wet at all they're useless (it pisses rain here).
I've tried regular underwear, smartwool, the kind with the little holes in them. Nothing comes close to my old walmart russels. they're either too tight in the crotch, too tight on the waist, or the material is either too hot or too scratchy.
Frankly when these last 2/4 russels die I might kms.
it's over.
