Since the beginning of the real jews, faith was required to maintain jew status. They failed to maintain jew status with God for the entire old testament and then gave up completely (and were actually destroyed by Yahweh) when Christ came about. Now the modern day state of Isreal, and modern day jews, have ABSOLUTELY NO RELATION OTHER THAN NAME to the ancient jews. They are NOT Gods chosen people any longer (and haven't been for 2000 years) and should be treated like any other false religion!
