The problem with the political compass - the questions are just too US-centric. Many questions are ridiculous from a non-US viewpoint. Many positions would be deemed not just extrem right wing but rather ultra right wing or extremely market radical without the rose-tinted glasses of the very often silly US-politics.
So it's no wonder that, if you are from another country, even if you consider yourself conservative or even leaning more to the right (which obviously I'm not) you would find yourself in the libertarian left quarter.
