Life is hard, yes. But it’s still amazing. These metrics we use to determine whether a life is ‘good’ or ‘bad’ are entirely human constructs.
Who says a longer life is better? Who says he needed to stay a minute more? Who says a painful life is any less profound? If anything, it’s the other way around.
I’m sure it was hard to say bye to the little dude, but when you know that it’s meant to be, and when you know that they’ll see him again, and when they look back on the precious moments he got to live, it’s not that hard to believe in God.
