>>21839914Floripa is the kind of place that you could spend 3 weeks in and just sort of embed and not get bored. But I also am working remote a good chunk of the time when I go there so I naturally have to take things slower.
If you go and are spending full days doing stuff I think you can explore a lot of the island in 5 days at a relaxed pace and get a lot done and then you could move on to a new destination. If you're down there Iguazu is not overrated and you should be able to fly there directly (but I'd stay on the Argie side at night it's better than Foz). And if you go you can cross into Paraguay even though US citizens usually need a visa there's a special visa zone where you can within a certain amount of miles from the border. saltos del monday are in that zone and nobody is there because they're overshadowed by iguazu. It's a really fun area to explore and it's cool to hop back and forth between three countries. But yeah Iguazu is not a tourist trap it's truly awe inspiring. The photos don't do it justice and it's so massive. The falls just keep going and going. It's not like Niagra where you see the waterfall in one area. And the power of the water is mesmerizing
And then you'd still have time to explore more in Brazil or even hop down to Buenos Aires. I don't know what pace you want to go but if you can get down there you'd love it. It's such an amazing part of the world.
