I think I understand now, because the chance of initially picking the Gold-Gold box in the first place was higher, the chance of the second Ball also being Gold naturally also has to be higher.
The question itself is a bit misleading, because you have only a single box left and if the initial advantage of picking gold-gold is put out of the equation, then it is in fact 50/50. The only reason why the second gold ball is more likely is because when the box was chosen randomly the chance of picking a Gold ball from a Gold-Gold box was higher.
