i played bass clarinet for the most part actually. they wouldn't let us march them though since they were "too fragile" so i had to pick something else. most of the bass clarinet players just played regular clarinet for marching season but i truly despised standard clarinet, most of the clarinet players, and had experience with sax from middle school jazz band anyway.
