Does it? I've never tried it.
The combat is what you make of it really. I think the general gameplay could've been improved a bit and there is some padding here and there to keep the entire game in what was only the opening section of the original. It is very story focused though so there's frequent cutscenes. Makes it feel like control is being taken away from you quite often, especially in the start.
I haven't really gotten that far yet I think, so I can't say for sure if they ease up on the "walk a bit, wait a bit while a cutscene plays" thing later on.
