To me, and I have gone thru several religions, there's no telling what makes a man think, a real God, would type an Amazon best seller, and throw it at a tribe of desertmen, forestmen, or junglemen.
It's retardation and quite naive.
My experience says, even if made up by yourself on the spot, spirits come and do show up, and if you make up rules they will SEEM to be there. Thus, with this knowledge, I decided to become a mage and learn more.
