We only get ice storms and blizzards once or twice a year, if thatI suppose I can understand why people panic somewhat because they didn't grow up and learn how to drive in icy conditions, and if your roads aren't meant to have ice on them, that and not having snow tires, it's a recipe for disaster. I can drive in the snow without winter tires but that's because I've been driving for like 5 winters now. The snow is fun for doing tokyo drifts in a big open space with nobody around.
I still don't understand why people stock up on food and milk though, especially if the ice only lasts a day or 2.
