actually the phrase that makes me mad is "my own truth" and people usually say it immediately after lying about something. as though some irrefutable objective fact can be true to someone and not someone else. its not even weasel words at this point its more like 'well i said or did thing, but your truth is not my truth and i'm selectively ignoring what i did, fuck you'
