When airborne it hangs from straps attached to the bottom plate of the kit (as it is designed to do), if you flip it upside down and the bomb wobbles a little you will have very uneven point pressure both on the base plate (which would be fine) and on random locations of the folded wing assembly potentially causing some minor misalignment that can prevent wings from folding out.
3 tonnes is quite a lot of weight as an applied crushing force.
One could add something similar to a roller bar on racing cars in front and back rated for 3 tonnes to protect the wings, or just attach the glide kit when the bomb is hanging.
