>>21126069I read about this. When I was job searching I thought about going for the commercial license and being a trucker. The result of the jeet wave in the Alberta industry is:
1.Calls for better training. However there is already a 6 week mandatory training that costs 10,000 dollars.
2.Lack of available truckers because of that training
3.Unspoken fact that jeets are the ones crashing all these trucks. They go to nepotism jeet trucking school run by other jeets who also don't know what the fuck they're doing. Fake their way in to a license and cause a 20 car pile up within first two years.
White truckers are leaving because they are being treated like garbage on top of this. Not being paid for unloaded legs of trips, no support, getting stranded because truck company doesn't maintain their equipment.
