>>14665160This is the rig I use for bass, mainly small mouth. But like I said I use a weighted hook so it looks more natural. I use a realistic looking worm, but depending on the water quality I may switch it up to purple or pink.
By using this rig like this you wont snag up near as much.
I prefer an open bale reel and an ugly stick rod. Heavier test, but not ridiculous cause its not very often bass are over 15 or even 20lbs.
Watch some instruction videos and even bait test videos. You can see what they do that actually works. If you have a bass pro/cabelas near you sometimes they have fishing expos or workshops.
