>>11682044lol. strict graders are good in theory but they're never actually fair in my opinion
>>11682045word. i think at the end of the day they're both 1010 classes and don't care that much if anyone cheats
>>11682048yeah straight up not worth the effort over just whackin it
a bit based
nice try, but this includes baseball players and the heckin trackerinos
that's what i thought too, but the problem is that any program that does anything practical is a huge complex mess that take tons of time to make and can't be meaningfully divided into workable chunks that demonstrate any concepts. what ends up happening is "in theory" you know everything you need to make a graphic calculator but in practice you have absolutely 0 experience working on something of that scale or complexity so you don't even know how to set up the structure to start working on anything. all made worse by the fact that they're terrified of actually teaching you UI so you're more or less struck with doing stuff in command line
for my old uni at least i think 90% of fresh CS graduates would struggle to make snake or tetris given a week or two and no direction
