>>8376103let me explain something to you. that long post in the OP was originally made about a week and a half ago on /an/. ever since i had gotten that goby, i had started to reconsider the whole "tropical" appeal that i have been going on for almost 5 years now. i have been slowly transitioning it to be a full on native american fish tank featuring smaller fish found in rivers and creeks. i wanted to di this so i could learn about fish that live in my area, and not fish that live in south america. the only problem is, i dont know how to get rid of the 4 "bigger" fish. (the 3 angels and the gourami) they have been with me for about 8 months now and to be honest i have become detached with them because of how territorial they were after a few months passed. they had ripped out the eyeballs of my ottocinclus and stressed them out to death. same went with my cardinal tetras and hoplo catfish. my goal was originally just to turn the heater off and let it sit at a low 70. im not in any position to kill them, i just want to get ready for a new era for my aquarium, that would help me learn about a wider variety of fish since i have ultimately been through hell with tropical fish from an lfs. right now i have 4 rainbow darters, 1 stone madtom, a clearwater crayfish, and the previously mentioned goby. i am planning to get rid of the angelfish, im just not sure how to without being crude. im planning on adding things like shiners or chubs, and even things out when the angels are gone, but this is too conflicting for me to do all at once.
