If so, how do we know that what we see through the cracks is also not carefully fabricated for us? What if acting on this sense of "good" is potentially another form of evil meant to profit some other mastermind?
It's easy to interpret this mode of thinking as a sign of being pacified by the forces you describe, but in a world of Gods and servants (as you propose), finding out who's the big baddy is no simple task. And if good and evil exist, then that begs the question if it's a property intrinsic to the world, or one that was made at the hands of some divine force. If it was made by some divine force...well, that opens a can of infinite worms.
>On ritualsFascinating that you propose some rather petty things to have metaphysical consequences in our world - the Gods certainly have a bizarre taste in style. Are those things that you describe a universal evil, of which when performed, generate an energy that is used between the God and servant as some sort of transaction? Or are they evil because of what they cause? Suppose we were able to remove the God that answers to these rituals. Would these "rituals" still be evil in your eyes?
>On GodsThe Gods exist, and they wish to interact with us. Does that mean we have some sort of power over them? Why else would they feel compelled to return us favors from undertaking their tasks? What do we have that they don't?
>On demonsDo they possess some form of consciousness? Or are they simply a soulless force that is programmed to wreck havoc on our world?
Oh, and, uh, do succubus exist? I just ask for...a friend. For a friend.
