Yet you also have to consider that many universities are run as businesses nowadays, so in order to "sell" you have to make the product attractive to as many people as you can. You can also get money by encouraging future students to rent dorms (you can transform the dorms into a jail shortly after as an added bonus).

That's how a lot of people interact nowadays. They are under the impression that they have to say something no matter what, so they talk about some random details of their lives.

I'd say the latter is more dangerous as he is the one who wants to have his needs met at all costs, while the other would rather pass if the stuff is not up to his standards.
