Yes, I stopped using that awful service a couple months ago, but something else about it has been on my mind lately: they give you most of the ingredients, but certain incidental items like salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc aren't included. You need to have or buy those yourself. One of those items was sugar... which I didn't have. So I had to go buy a bag of sugar because one fucking recipe called for like 2 tablespoons of it. Of course, the grocery store only sold sugar in like 2 lb bags, so now I'm left with a giant bag of sugar in my cupboard. What the fuck can I do with it?
I'm thinking about trying to make rock candy, but it seems like that will take months to get any kind of results... any other ideas?
