The ancient Greeks differentiated between Western Ethiopians in Africa with dark skin and woolly hair and Eastern Ethiopians in India with dark skin and straight hair. The Indians were eventually invaded and conquered by the pale skinned Aryans who implemented a caste system where the light skinned people were on top and the dark skinned on the bottom. The remnants of the Eastern Ethiopians are the Dravidians.
