Christ is cringe because he failed to say no to God like he said no to Satan in the desert. That makes him a failure and all who follow him failures in the making, but that's what Christianity was made to set gentiles up for. Ideas set you up for success or failure and Christianity doesn't set believers up for success when dealing with those the Bible described as the enemies of Christ. Loving your enemies and letting them put you through all the indignities they want because you believe God will hold them accountable after death benefits no one but your enemies. The only set of values that can help us out of this clown world is one which holds evildoers accountable in the world of the living.
