>>23325839I'm by no means an expert but starting off there is an app called Merlin that uses bird calls to identify what birds are in an area so you have some idea and name of the birds you could potentially watch where you are. Starting off you can use merlin and pictures to start collecting a database on what you've seen and then progress to actually going to places where rare birds have been seen! My Dad recently saw migrating flamingoes in Switzerland which I thought was pretty dope
