Only stating that the type of homeless person most think of when they read or hear the word is not really a poverty issue, if that's what you're getting at. It would be dishonest to frame it that way, even if I agree with what you have to say overall. It's one problem that will never go away so long as there are drugs for people to get addicted to. These people would rather keep living that life instead of going clean. We could deal with every other problem and still have addicts taken to their logical conclusion. It's the case in countries that are more well off than the US in quality of life where a drug problem is the only way you can utterly fuck up and stay fucked up.
