Basically a lack of practical parenting coupled with a comfortable nest, and ambitious/narcissistic parents who would rather have their child be a NEET out of sight and out of mind than a "failure" doing a "low status job".
You could call them losers but, simply having a career isn't exactly success in their eyes. It's a low hanging fruit. Success to them is fame and power. That's higher than doctor status to them.
The narcissism and grandiose fantasies of the highest heights of success also serve to keep them in the NEET life style or deliberately underperforming to keep their options open as they figure out exactly what-the-fuck the point in life is.
With no blueprint to follow and no satisfying life philosophy in place, they are forced to either re-invent the wheel or exist in frustrated stagnation. It's kind of pathetic, but here's the kicker:
Re-inventing the wheel is a vitally important cultural step for the White race as it provides a powerful interface through which we will be able to interact with the outside world. With the ability to identify your values you can identify your goals and then identify paths towards said goals. Without this... you aren't EVEN lost because you have no start and no destination.
If you are feeling accomplished because you have a career, remember this, the race problem isn't going away.
You might have yourself a comfortable perch on the lower mid section of the big tree, but, the tree is on fire.
These "losers" might have a bigger part to play in the survival of the race than may be immediately obvious, to them and others.
