i've been building a scratch-built boat over the past 5 years, dad bought me the materials as a final gift when he got sick, it has some of his ashes in the hull, he makes good ballast lol
pics are pretty old so have a lot more done to it since then, only really the sails to make and more riggiing to do, I recon i've put a good 1000 hours into it
