Only in modern video games do they feel the need to invent terms for things that already exist in every other industry and pretend they are special super snowflakes for having to deal with it.
DOOM was famously made by a handfull of guys working essentially 24/7 all living and working in the same house. Most of the greats from the golden age of gaming were made this way. Because the people making them were passionate and didn't sell their soul to obviously evil megacorps like EA or Activision to work as drones on an assembly line of goyslop.
