>>21328110The most recent study I saw on this was from 2022 and it covered mainly the effect of onions isoflavones (phytoestrogens) which weakly mimic estrogen in the bodies of women. The conclusions of which basically described their effect on serum levels of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) in women. Improvements were seen in endometrial thickness, implantation rates, and pregnancy rates for the women studied, but I will concede that there was a reduced production in FSH and LH in these same women (pre-menopausal).
This however does not mean a negative effect on fertility. Especially when considering baseline hormone levels of these women. In women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) it could even be a net positive. At most what's been observed are slight alterations in menstrual cycles.
At the end of the day, I suppose you could try an alternative milk like almond milk if you're worried about it, but i'm just not a fan of it.
