People always say "Norwegians are so rich look at how much they earn!" but everything is ridiculously expensive here to the point where international students have panic attacks when they go into their first Norwegian grocery store.
Housing is fucked and nobody can afford it, nobody goes to restaurants because it's too expensive, and food in general is extremely expensive and low quality thanks to protectionism.
I'm sure you can live a good life. Don't stress over conversion rates, they don't paint a full picture.
