>those fog gates sound like a based idea, honestly.they really are. the nice thing is that you get invincibility frames when going through them in 1 and 3, so as long as you can get to it you're in the clear. in 2 enemies can just kill you while you're entering the arena unfortunately
>do you think i'll hate it, now that i've tried the (presumably) more streamlined and modern sekiro?probably not. dark souls and sekiro are very different games to be honest. they have similar design philosophies and obfuscated story, but they're both sort of "combat first" games and the combat is really different. dark souls is more about dodging around and waiting to get your hits in relative to sekiro which is specifically about keeping up pressure and relying on much tighter windows for avoiding damage.
either way i'd very highly recommend it if you liked everything about sekiro except the combat. there's a good chance you'll like all the same stuff about dark souls and the combat is barely comparable. i'd say go with 3 since 1 is a lot less inviting than the others and 2 is kind of a weird black sheep
