>>21274951>>Haibane Renmei>>Mushi-ShiI have seen both. I own both. You nailed it.
While I found Haibane Renmei to be cozy, I showed it to someone who described it as 'dreary' (They may have been a little too young to appreciate it at the time (despite being my age)) So since then I've tried to be cautious of who I recommend it to.
I have a poster of Kana fixing the clock tower (though it's not on display right now) and one of my pets growing up I called her 'Rakka' because she was kind of a nut ; )
There are so many lessons that I've carried with me though life. There was a conversation recently about what, if anything, really separates man from animals and I almost quoted Kuu about the crows and the bread. And Nemu's laudable work ethic allowing her more room for leisure.
I watch every ED in Mushi-shi, not because it is good music (though it certainly is) but because I'm still so mentally entranced by what I've just seen. "if you've never seen it, then you've never seen anything like it" is an interesting sentiment; one that I think applies to Mushi-shi more so than really anything else I've watched. Great story-telling. Great with tension, even while being episodic (will Ginko resolve it? sometimes.)
(I even recommended haibane renmei to another anon in this general
