If you're doing scalp micro-needling, don't use needle sizes more than ~1mm and go easy on the minoxidil for a 48hr window until it heals. Minoxidil has a 21hr half-life. Micro-needling should be done 1 times per month.
The purpose of micro-needling/derma-rolling isn't to increase minoxidil absorption. The purpose is to induce tissue remodeling and angiogenesis in the scalp tissue. It's comparable to PRP injections.
