i also caught one of their kids trying to steal one out of my bucket one time so i slapped it out of his hand and took it back, then he ran to his father who looked over at me and i guess decided a shitty carp wasn't worth him getting boktossed

today i had 3 different ones on the pier come up and try to take fish i was catching, one was just saying "i take i take" and i threw it back into the water instead
