It's a show about a schizoid 14 year old boy afraid of getting close to others and a girl of the same age who's recklessly desperate for validation. They're archetypes of japans youth at the time but pretty much map on perfectly to early 20's western zoomers today. You'll probably get something out of it, even if you don't resonate with the characters it's just a great show
