The 90s had so many incredible things happening alongside the ending of the Cold War that for just one brief moment it felt the world was primed to enter the new millenium as best as it possibly could.
And then 9/11 happened and with it the dumbfuck War on Terror where the USA fucked everything up
And then the housing crisis where people lost their wealth
And then social media and e-phones made every normie get in on electronics
And then all the identity politics shit got amped up to 11 for the next decade and a half
And all this cultural globohomo while everything went to utter shit with migrants shitting up everything.
The 90s was the last decade when I still felt everything might just work itself out. But as awesome as the 2000s were in some respects, you could already feel the clownworld lurking and by 2010s we were knee-deep in the nightmare.
