>>13418415Polish nobility is a pretty wide term, we had around 10% of population holding titles even when most of them didnt have any serfs. Just a handful of noble families were actually important and some of them pop up here and there but they rarely hold any real influence today.
Modern Poland is composed pretty much entirely of peasant descendants with some burgeois exceptions. All of the traditions you see, like clothing, dances, cuisine, those are all of peasantry. And yes I think this is the reason why our country looks like a shithole.
