>>9484311I'm aware of the Hyksos, but I'm reluctant to believe this for many reasons. One, we're not sure Israelites were homogenous or literally twelve different tribes or races. Also, Egypt would definitely erase and/or propagandize an event so humiliating and emasculating as what is described in Exodus. They did so with Akhenaten and the only reason we know he existed is because archaeologists accidentally discovered Amarna. I think Hyksos are either a separate incident or propaganda for what really happened. Also, the OT Hebrews failed in what Moses had taught and this is recorded in its own writings. It makes little sense that this would be recorded or even taken that seriously if it were just Hyksos fleeing Egypt. Moses was a disruptor and they didn't want people remembering these events. There is a reason why the Queen of Sheba went to Israel to see Solomons wisdom and later brought Judaism back to Ethiopia. Also, btw, these people actually saw Christ as the messiah immediately unlike the remnant Israelites. This is because they most likely hadn't fallen into apostasy as the latter had.
