In Europe most rely on government provided places to live since they foolishly believed in the nanny state and planned accordingly. Now with the real threat of having their places to live taken away and given to brown people or thrown in jail they are reluctant to do much complaining. Even if the payments are increased it is just negated by the higher taxes. Lesson learned, If the state can provide something it can also take it away. Housing, healthcare, heating subsidies, etc.
