Morrissey's lyrics in The Smith's first album are hilarious. In one song he demolishes his friend's girlfriend as "a fat girl" who wants him to buy an engagement ring and "she doesn't care about anyone except herself" and then tells him "William it was really nothing". In another song he tells a girl that all her friends are saying she is a loser and an asshole behind her back, and that she was "easily led" and "virtually dead" to neg her into "15 minutes" of sex with him. The first album is absolutely brutal in this way and it's based.
