>>13532218My Dad was a great father, and taught me so much. If I hadn't been so dead set on doing the opposite of whatever he told me I bet he could've taught me so much more. He was my favorite person in the world though, even when we didn't see eye to eye. Funny. Smartest man I know. Relentlessly determined to provide a good life for us kids.
Then after my mom left he got remarried and got another family, and now he's just pushed my brother and I so far away I don't feel like I can even talk to him anymore. He seems to have no interest in knowing any of his grandkids. It makes me so sad, because I know he's getting older, and I want to fix things before he goes, but every time I try to reach out I'm met with such coldness that it makes me not want to try again.
