>>11664110My inner light permeated through my physical being. My eyes burned with fiery life, my skin was clear and would glow in direct sunlight similar to the freaking vampires in Twilight, and I could put people at ease simply by meditating while in close proximity to them and transferring my calm energy to them. Long story short, I had "Life" as described in the Bible, but it was not "Eternal", because my faith was primarily placed in myself and secondarily placed in the divine plan of the universe/"God". So when things got tough in my life (initiated by the suicide of my best friend, and going downhill from there), I lost my enlightened state of being. I was lost for a few years, but in the last year or so I've been reading the Bible with my girlfriend and I've realized a number of things, including, but not limited to:
1.) The Bible is full of highly esoteric wisdom in allegorical form.
2.) The Bible is arguably the most enlightened religious text/guide for achieving enlightenment.
3.) "Eternal Life" refers to enlightenment, and true enlightenment cannot be lost once you have achieved it. Again, I lost my state of being because my faith was not primarily invested into the divine will of the universe/"God".
To sum it all up, I do consider myself to be a born again Christian, but I don't take a literal interpretation of the Bible. I "see" beyond the allegory.
