They have no moral qualms against copying and pasting AI generated code that could do all sorts of crazy random shit like kill someone if used in an airplane computer. So one Indian will fake the work of multiple people with AI and proceed to do the job incorrectly. Nobody will notice until server crashes or a customer has a horrible experience.
There is a reason programmers are called software engineers. Their work cannot be checked by anyone outside the experts within their field, meaning business people cannot judge it for themselves except in a very superficial way. They have insisted on calling these experts "coders" in order to devalue the profession and make rare, high IQ workers sound replaceable with 3rd worlders or automation. In reality, true software engineers are as valuable as scientists and doctors at the level of intelligence and competence which is needed for the role.
