These patterns could be those of sloth which leads to the stereotypical disgusting "gamer" or "internet NEET" archetype which can be visible upon looking at thy room/living space. On the other hand, autistic disorder allows you to get set into a better pattern and stay in it comfortably and naturally.
TLDR: Harder to start, easier to stay on track with autism. Otherwise, it has to do with motivation. If you cannot self- motivate, you will not achieve.
