its a form of in-house, in-relationship emotional therapy, and if you need therapy, then you're emotionally vulnerable
someone who is instinctively looking to compete with you isn't going to give a fuck about your emotional state. they're going to see most emotions as weakness and look down on you at best, and at worst exploit them
of course, its also a naturally occuring dynamic to some degree whereby hypergamy dictates weak men are lower on the totem pole, including emotionally weak men, so most women perceive displays of emotion in men to be displays of weakness
and in most cases they're right, because in most cases men are controlled by their emotions as opposed to controlling them
it is possible to enact a controlled release of emotion with intent, without letting it rule over you
but the issue with this is, women in most cases can't tell the difference between the two and due to being higher in base neuroticism and negative emotion themselves, will identify all displays of emotion as weakness
a woman that can show genuine empathy towards a man has to
1 - have normal levels of test for a woman
2 - have high empathy and high emotional intelligence
3 - understand the diffence between controlled release and emotional possession
so as you can see, such a woman is extremely fucking rare
and last but most certainly not least, the last hurdle is this
most women will pretend to be exactly this to secure the mate they desire while being completely incapable of these behaviours
so, case in point really, asian women are likely more inclined to show affection, which is a manifestation of care and empathy, because they understand the intricacies of emotion and are lower in testosterone levels
